Welcome
to CLUBZSCALE. My name is Bob Yen Jr. and I am a record producer
by profession. Working in the music industry is quite demanding,
so to balance my spiritual well being, I spend a great amount of time
searching for Zen through my artistic endeavors. Other types of artistic mediums I enjoy working with include painting, three dimensional art and
photography.
I
find building miniature (or micro worlds) in the scale of 1:220
one of my more Zenful pursuits. This scale size is indeed very
small, yet I am able to still achieve an incredible amount of
detail through careful breathing and steady but sure movements
of my hands. I seldom use magnifying lenses as I find that my
eyes can see everything quite clearly when I am in a state of
Zen. My objective is to share a form of Zen with the viewer, as they get lost in the discovery of these micro worlds I've created in my own pursuit for Zen.
Through
the years I have made and sold a great many of my artistic endeavors
to private art collectors. Each layout I build is beyond a labor
of love, truely a one of a kind work of art.
I do not take customer specific orders. Some of my clients
have placed my micro worlds into their executive desks, hung
them as paintings and some even buy them as an investment. It’s
all very interesting, but my only concern is to create works
of art and continue to share in my quest to achieve Zen.
